When becoming a first-time mom, you really don’t know where to begin when it comes to designing your baby’s nursery especially if you would want to keep the gender a fun little surprise!

Whites, greys and browns are your new best friend!

For my baby girls’ nursery I did just that and I love how it turned out.

I added small pink and blush details in the art work, little decorative items and soft furnishings.

As soon as I discovered this solid ash crib I became obsessed with the simplicity yet chicness of it! I loved the unusual gold-plated legs and the fact that it can be transformed into a toddler bed and a sofa so it can be used throughout her childhood.

It was definitely a focal piece in her nursery that was a must-have.

I was torn with what type of art work I was going to include in her nursery especially since there are rubble walls in the room and I didn’t want it to be too much so I was on the hunt for something modern and simple and voila’ I found it!

Something everyone needs in their nursery is a comfortable armchair.

Originally I was going to use a charcoal grey one that we already had at home but then I randomly came across this Kubik armchair in a pale blush colour and needed it in my life.

Fur poufs, rugs and cushions add chicness and sophistication to any boy/girl nursery making it a lot more cosy and warm.

A fur rug can be multi-purpose. It can be used as a soft base such as for a baby gym or just as a play mat for your little one to roll around in whilst a pouf can be used as an ottoman whilst you are breastfeeding or just lounging in the nursery.

Last but not least, to make the room fun and lively you should add pops of colour in little decorative items such as soft toys and books.

This small tip can make a huge difference and bring any neutral nursery to life.
